He said...to break through online ad clutter, ads should get as creative as these!

Here are a few humorous, creative online ads for Zippo Lighters. The ads are set on a faux webpage to simulate how it would look in context.

Although it takes some time for this particular one to get up to speed - I imagine most wont pay attention until the woman in the ad above begins to strip her clothing, its a great example of an online ad that is reaching past the boundaries of simple banner/display advertising by utilizing creative methods of catching viewers' eyes.

The second:

This one is similar. While the digital space will only continue to grow, its safe to say that the world wide web will continue to be a pillar of human society, with over hundreds of millions of users worldwide advertising in the online space will have evolve and adapt in order to get their messages across. It will be quite interesting to see what crazy things they think of next.
